- Mg stands for milligram. 12.5mg of aspirin is equivalent to one tab of children's aspirin.

- Different types of aspirin are more powerful than others. It is measured in milligrams (mg). The bottle will tell you how many milligrams are in one capsule so you can take the proper dosage.
- "Mg" is an abbreviation for the mass related metric term milligram, or one one-thousandth of one gram. Aspirin generally comes in two strengths, 325mg and 81mg. There is no medical indication for 12.5mg of aspirin. However, on some meds like aspirin, there may be a measurement of quantity in "grains" which can be converted to mg.
