can two aspirins and two Tylenol have the same pain relief as a loratab?
My dentist told me if i take two aspirin and two Tylenol together that they are the same thing as taking a loratab 7.5 without the narcotic affect (just pain relieving) Is this true?

- That combination is nowhere near the same thing. It sounds like your dentist just doesn't want to give you the Lortab for some reason. Lortab does contain tylenol, along with the narcotic pain reliever hydrocodone. Aspirin does not come into this combination anywhere. If the pain gets worse and the tylenol doesn't help, call his office and tell them. Not quite sure what he's thinking, unless he feels that you shouldn't be having the degree of pain that you think you are. Then again, pain is objective. It is interpreted different by everyone and what hurts one person may not hurt another.
- If you can take motrin, that would be the route. 800 mg., is the closest thing that I have come to Lortab. I have chronic knee pain, and while I don't take them all the time, when I do, it helps the best.
- I recently had a friend die. She already had liver disease, but somehow she "tweeked" her back. She started taking Mega doses of Tylenol. As she was in the hospital dying, she told the doctor's about the Tylenol she was taking. They said that Tylenol, Advil and other pain management pills will basically KILL the liver. Very hard on the liver. They told her they wished they could OUTLAW these kinds of "medications". Anyway now, if I'm hurting or sore, I take an aspirin that's got a coating on it so it doesn't hurt the stomach so much. BUT I WILL NEVER AGAIN TAKE TYLENOL, ADVIL OR ANY OTHER OF THE OTC PAIN MEDICATIONS!!!! Actually, I don't take ANY medication unless it's absolutely necessary. The body is miraculous in healing itself, with taking these "poisons" that are on the market.
- Is the easter bunny real? C'mon be realistic~~anything you have to have a scipt for is 100 times better than aspirin.
