Is it true that high levels of caffeine can cause a heart attack?

I just read that consuming high levels of caffeine can cause a heart attack. Is that true? How many cups of strong coffee is considered high levels? Can 1 cup of coffee cause your heart to have this extra beat that makes a thump?

  1. I recently had to call 9-11 and thought I was having a heart attack and thought I was too young for this. The medics testing my heart rate and asked me a bunch of questions. They determined I was drinking way too much coffee. I layed off for a week and it corrected my issue. ALSO, Drinks like Red bull and other energy drinks can cause this and kids as young as 10 are dying from overdose of caffeine. Moderation
  2. Some people are sensetive to caffeine where they will have 2 cups and there heart is racing. While I can drink a whole pot without a problem. You will know when to stop drinking, and you cant have a heart attack from a few cups. High levels would be drinking 2 cups of espresso or like 8 cups of coffee.
  3. My sister in law, had heart problems caused by too much caffeine. But she drank black coffee and tea all day long. She was never without a cup of something at her side. My aunts mother had problems also from drinking black coffee constantly. So it's not going to hurt if you have a cup of coffee with your meals, it's when you drink it during meals, between meals and are addicted to the point that you can't stop etc.
