18 Year old: Heart Attack Symptoms after very intense work out Hi I’m 18 years old and have been working out very hard for 3 weeks. Lifting weights 5 days a week and running 6 days a week (for nearly 40 mins a day). I’m decently fit and in pretty good health but this new work out was pushing my body beyond its limits. 2 days ago when I was running I felt some slight pain in my left chest which was radiating out into my upper left back and my left arm. I quickly stopped exercising and about 30 mins later the pain went away. The next day I went running again with slightly more intensity and had the same pain again (this time with pressure and tightness in the chest). I stopped immediately and just started to rest, yet the pain persisted for the entire day. The next day, the pain in my heart was almost gone but I still had some slight pain and pressure/tightness in my upper left chest and left arm (which disappears and reappears every once in a while), and the pain in my heart becomes slightly noticeable with any activity which makes my heart work a little (even moderate-fast walking). I know heart attacks are very uncommon for an 18 year old, but these symptoms are quite worrying. Also I have no history of heart disease in my family. The good thing I notice is that the conditions are slowly improving (the pain is pretty much completely gone as I write this, but still comes back a little occasionally.) How serious does this situation sound? What should I be doing about it? I am quite nervous about this and will be seeing the doctor in a few weeks (currently out of the country.) To start off I am going to my Doctor sometime tomorrow I just wanted to see what other people who have experienced this thought. Could these be symptoms of a heart attack? I'm a 39 year-old female weighing 120 pounds. I do have irregular heartbeat time to time, and was diagnosed with benign arrhythmia 2 years ago. But in addition to my usual irregular beats, I have the following symptoms, which started about 10 days ago. A day or so later my chest started hurting. I went to the doctor and she though I had a cold in my chest. Exercise or stress doesn't seem to bring it on that I've noticed. I went back to the doc and am on celebrex and prevacid (she thinks carrying my 3 yr old is pinching a nerve and I have some ulcer symptoms). She also gave me skelaxin for bedtime. I'm planning to go back again, but would love to hear some other opinions. I know it mimics heart disease/heart attack so I'm going crazy with worry. My doctor called it chest wall pain, and that we were going to try an anti inflammatory for a week. along with muscle relaxers at bedtime. She also gave me prevacid because I have a very sensitive stomach. I don't have IBS, and normally don't burp much, but the last three days the pressure feeling seems to make me burp constantly. . . I would think if it was anything gastrointestinale it would be worse when I lay down, but this only seems to really hurt when I am in an upward sitting position. It feels like if I resituate or burp that it will go away, but never does. Thank you so much for any advice, I just wanted to see something that didn't say it was my heart! I went to a doctor not too long ago right after an episode, I had an EKG, Blood Work, X-Ray and all around check up all came up that I'm healthy as a horse. Doctor said a Heart Attack was very unlikely and that it was stress or maybe indigestion. Still, when it happens it scares the heck out of me, any suggestions? Anyone have similar instances?

Possible Heart Attack Symptoms? I,m a 50 year old female that has Tremondous stress in my life with numerous medical problems. Never had heart attack that I,m aware of as silly as that sounds. Yesterday at work out of the blue I was in excruciating pain in my back between my shoulder blades. within a few minutes it was just below the center of my chest going through my back. My left arm just above my elbow all the way down hurt and felt limp as a dish rag. I left work early and my sister took my BP which was 160/93. I was short of breath but that's not unusual and also just plain weak. After I got home and took a previcid then a zantac and later 3 or 4 tablespoons of malox it got better. Is this probaby an ulcer or should I get it checked Now or wait until it happens again? If your wondering why I didn't go right then it is because I started a New Job and was thinking it was probably an ulcer but my sister thinks otherwise. This is the second time in the last two months this has happened. Thanks for any information. Thank you all for your most sincere advice. You have all helped me and I have decided to make an appointment tomorrow for a check up. Because of the stress I've been under it has been diffucult to make wise decisions here lately. My brother who is 1 year older than myself passed away almost 2 years ago with a massive heart attack. I guess that should be reason enough to get checked out. Not sure who the killer is, but I've narrowed it down to either the waiter or the person eating with the woman who dies. The trick has to revolve around pills--help? Even if it's only remotely related to pills, like the contents of a capsule of some drug or other were emptied into a glass of water/mixed in with food. It would be great if this were tasteless as the victim will be consuming this and should not be suspicious. Death needs to occur before these people leave the cafe. I would like the death to appear at first glance to be a heart attack. There needs to be something that's slightly off about the case--like the other person in the party ate some of the victim's place as well (and is not affected by this poison for some reason?), or maybe the victim is affected because of a certain condition they have (???) that causes them to actually have a heart attack (whereas a normal person would not die). Suggestions?
